Overview
Partner Tools (redfin.com/tools) allows you to easily make updates to the customers we’ve connected you with by sorting your list, filtering out customers you have already closed with, and more. You can also set your availability and find contact information for Partner Program team members who can assist you with any questions you might have.
Updating Customer Statuses
You’ll need to update your customer’s statuses at least once every 7 days - even if the status has not changed
- Click the pencil icon in the status column next to each customer
- A pop-up will appear with a list of statuses and brief descriptions.
- Select a status and Save
- Click the + icon in the recent notes column to add actions related to the customer status
- Important: only adding a note does not update the status
Best Practices for Customer List Updates
Below is an example cadence of updating customer statues, and how to close the loop with a customer who is unresponsive to your outreach. After 4 days, if there is no response from the customer to all of your attempts to connect, you can close the loop and remove the client.
Day 1: Call, Text, and Email
Day 2: At least two methods
Day 3: At least two methods
Day 4-10: Sent a final text or email kindly closing the loop

Once you have completed the onboarding process and your Partner Onboarding Specialist has activated your account you will receive a direct link via email to the download instructions.
Referring Customers to Rocket Mortgage
You have the option to refer customers to Rocket Mortgage directly from the Partner Tools dashboard, whether they’re Redfin referral customers or your own existing clients. If you choose to refer your customers, follow the steps below:
Referring Redfin Referral Customers
- Locate the customer in your Customer List Dashboard
- In the Rocket Financing column, click the Rocket Referral button
- Review and accept the pop-up dialog box. Once confirmed, the customer’s information is securely sent to Rocket Mortgage
The Rocket Referral column also provides quick visibility into which customers are working with Rocket, which have already been referred, and which have not, helping you stay organized at a glance.
Referring Existing Non-Redfin Customers
If you would like to refer an existing non-Redfin customer, you can use the “Refer External Customer to Rocket” link located near the top of your dashboard. Clicking this will open a short form where you can enter your customer’s information and submit the referral directly to Rocket Mortgage.
Using Rocket Mortgage is completely optional and designed to make it easy for you to connect interested customers with a trusted financing partner, when and where it makes sense for your business.
